Masaar Money Card Terms and Conditions
The Masaar Money Card enables you to pay public bus transportation fares easily and securely without the need for cash. By using the card, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
- Card Definition
The Masaar Money Card is a prepaid electronic card valid for use within the public transport network (buses) approved by Ajman Transport Authority.
The card is used exclusively for payment of bus travel fares within the network.
- Card Top-Up Methods
You can top up your Masaar Money Card through the following channels:
- Authorized self-service kiosks operated by NT Payments.
- The Masaar Travel mobile application.
Important Notes:
- The maximum top-up amount is AED 300 per day.
- The maximum top-up amount per month is AED 3,600 per month.
- Top-ups exceeding these limits are not permitted, and the authority reserves the right to reject any top-up transaction that exceeds the specified threshold.
- Card Usage in Public Transport
- A sufficient card balance is required before using any public transport service.
- The card cannot be used if the available balance is below the minimum required fare (as per approved bus tariff rates).
- The user is responsible for ensuring that sufficient funds are available before boarding the bus.
- Card Validity Period
The Masaar Money Card is valid for nine (9) months starting from the date of its first actual use on any bus.
After this period, the card becomes invalid, and any remaining balance may be forfeited unless the validity is renewed or reactivated in accordance with the Transport Authority’s policies.
- Remaining Balance and Refunds
- The balance on the card is non-transferable and non-refundable in cash.
- Remaining balances after card expiration will not be refunded unless specific policies by the Transport Authority provide otherwise.
- Users are advised to utilize the full balance before the card’s expiry date.
- Loss or Damage
- Users are advised to keep the card in a safe place.
- In case of loss or damage, the Transport Authority bears no responsibility for any unused balance.
- Cards are currently non-registered, meaning lost balances cannot be recovered
- Updates and Modifications
The Transport Authority reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice to the cardholder. Updates will be published through official communication channels.
Continued use of the card after such updates constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
